The mid-range successor of last year's G Pad III tablet is now available in South Korea for approximately $305.

LG is not too keen on tablets, but for the past few years, they have been updating their G Pad lineup. This year, it is time for the G Pad IV to get released.

The new tablet measures 8.5” x 5” x 0.27” and weighs only 290g. As far as the display is concerned, LG decided to keep the 8-inch IPS touchscreen that supports a resolution of 1920X1200 from last year’s G Pad III 8.0 FHD. The G Pad IV is equipped with a Snapdragon 435 chipset that integrates an octa-core 1.4 GHz CPU and the Adreno 505 GPU, but, being marketed as a mid-range solution, the new tablet features only 2 GB of RAM. It also has 32 GB of internal storage that cab be expanded to 2TB through microSD cards. The front and back cameras have 5MP resolutions, while the mobile networking features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2 and GPS.

The mid-range version of the G Pad IV has just been launched in South Korea with a price tag of approximately $305 and is only available in dark brown for the moment.
