LG MAGNIT 4K 136-inch display is announced as a new premium home theater solution
LG has already had a good time of it at the CEDIA Expo in 2022, even winning one of the conference's Best In Show awards for its top-end, practically enterprise-grade CineBeam HU915QB projector. The OEM can also be said to have given back with a premiere for attendees who prefer conventional TVs instead, regardless of how large.
LG has indeed announced that its MAGNIT series of seriously large screens pitched at home theater builders is getting a new addition. It is rated to pack a 4K resolution and "groundbreaking performance". LG also promises "cutting-edge color, clarity and contrast" in this new display thanks to its microLED technology.
Accordingly, the OEM aims to deliver "stellar visuals and an air of exclusivity that can't be replicated with conventional home theater screens" with this upcoming MAGNIT variant. That may seem a little tone-deaf these days; however, at 136 inches, it is also to become the smallest of its high-res "direct view LED" line-up, with its former 163-inch entry-level model and 325-inch 8K flagship.
Then again, LG has yet to reveal how much the MAGNIT 4K 136-inch unit will cost. In the meantime, the 48-inch OLED UltraGear monitor is available on Best Buy for a potentially more manageable US$1,499.99.
