LG G-Slate receives official T-Mobile pricing

Tablet with two year contract should retail for $529 after mail-in rebate

If anybody expected the first 3D tablet on the market to be cheap, they were definitely mistaken. T-Mobile has finally released the pricing for the LG G-Slate, and it’ll set you back at least a good $500 not including the two-year contract.

According to the press release: “The T-Mobile G-Slate will cost $529.99 after $100 mail-in-rebate card with a qualifying mobile broadband plan on two-year agreement, voice line and enrollment in EasyPay.”.

The G-Slate comes with a Tegra 2 Processor, Android Honeycomb, an 8.9” screen and is the first tablet to feature a pair of stereoscopic cameras on the back that allow for 3D video recording. While the 3D viewing on the tablet requires special glasses, it’s a neat feature to have nonetheless. The tablet should also have 4G capabilities and will be connected to T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network.

While T-Mobile has come clean with the pricing for the LG G-Slate, we’re still looking for an official release date for the tablet. T-Mobile is indicating a spring launch while some rumors point to an April 20th release date; in any case till then we can just enjoy the following hands-on video of the G-Slate from the CTIA conference (courtesy of the folks over at AndroidCentral.com).
