Inventec pockets huge notebooks order from HP
HP has not been able to capture much of the tablet market, but it still is one of the biggest players as far as notebooks are concerned. The huge order that Taiwan manufacturer Inventec lands from HP is an indication of that. HP gives orders of about 11-12million notebooks to Inventec for the year 2012 – as reported by Digitimes. Almost all of these are business notebooks.
Inventec is one of the obvious choices as the ODM has been with HP for long, and typically HP orders constitutes about 18-24% of Inventec’s total notebook shipment.
Inventec also takes orders from Apple, Dell, Toshiba and Barnes and Noble.
