Huawei unveils the Honor X3 and Honor 3C smartphones
The first wave of budget octa-core MT6592-powered devices arrives just as expected, but Huawei's new Honor smartphones are only available for the Chinese market for the time being. These new handsets are the octa-core Honor 3X and the cheaper, quad-core Honor 3C, both sporting MediaTek's processors.
First of the two in terms of performance and pricing, the Honor 3X comes with the following main specs:

- Battery: 3,000 mAh

The cheaper Honor 3C offers a very good value for money and has two versions, the only difference between them being the amount of memory installed:

- Memory/Storage: 1 GB or 2 GB RAM; 4 GB internal storage and microSD support up to 32 GB
- Display: 5-inch capacitive touchscreen with 720p resolution

- Battery: 2,300 mAh
- Operating system: Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
- Off-contract price: ~$130 (1 GB version) or ~$160 (2 GB version)
Both handsets offer in-call active noise cancellation thanks to a dual-microphone system, as well as DTS audio support. Unfortunately, the release dates are not public yet, but both smartphones can be pre-ordered by Chinese customers already. No word yet on price or availability for the rest of the world.
