Huawei launches the MateStation B515 with AMD Ryzen processors
Huawei has revealed its MateStation B515 computer, which also comes with a monitor, along with a wireless keyboard and mouse. The B515 is not the Kunpeng 920 3211K model that circulated earlier this year though, nor the one that appeared on Weibo earlier this week. Instead, the B515 comes with a choice of two Renoir desktop APUs.
Specifically, Huawei has designed the B515 with either a Ryzen 5 4600G or a Ryzen 7 4700G. The machine will also be offered with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM, a 256 GB or 512 GB SSD and a 1 TB SATA HDD. There are plenty of ports too, including multiple USB connections, an HDMI port, two Ethernet ports and a VGA connection.
Meanwhile, the monitor is a 23.8-inch IPS Panel. The display runs natively at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Huawei claims that the monitor has a 90% screen-to-body ratio, but there is a sizeable bottom bezel.
Finally, the wireless keyboard has a built-in fingerprint scanner, a 2.5 mm keystroke and scissor switches. The keyboard also appears to have built-in NFC for communicating with Huawei smartphones and tablets, too.
The MateStation B515 comes pre-loaded with Windows 10 Pro. Sadly, Huawei will only offer the machine to businesses in China. Third-party retailers like AliExpress may eventually carry the MateStation B515, but we doubt Huawei will ever sell it outside of China.
