Huawei Honor 7 finally coming to Europe

The Honor 7 will be the first smartphone to be sold via Huawei's new European online store. Therefore, the company is preparing a special promotional offer for the handset.

The Huawei Honor 7 was officially launched back in June this year but it has only been available in China. Until now, because Huawei is reportedly planning to announce the availability of the handset on the UK market as soon as on August 27.

What’s interesting, is the channel through which Huawei plans to sell their Honor-branded devices in Europe. The company is allegedly preparing to launch the European version of its Chinese Vmall online store. By doing so, Huawei will be able to sell directly to customers and cut out any unnecessary middlemen.

The Honor 7 will be the first smartphone to be sold via Vmall in Europe. Therefore, Huawei is preparing a special promotional offer for the handset. It will allegedly cost below £200 GBP for a limited time. After that, the price is expected to go to its normal level (20 to 40% more).

The handset itself features a 5.2-inch, FullHD display, 16 or 32 GB of storage space (partially taken by the OS), optional LTE and dual-SIM. It’ powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 930 processor with eight Cortex A53 cores and Mali T628 GPU. Honor 7 is outfitted with 3 GB of RAM and a micro-SD slot allowing to expand the storage space by up to 128 GB. Battery capacity is 3100 mAh.

On the back, we’ll find a fingerprint sensor as well as a 21 MP camera utilizing a Sony IMX230 sensor and Phase Detection autofocus technology. The front shooter allows capturing 8 MP selfies. Honor 7 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.1.
