Huawei Honor 6 Review: Affordable Unlocked Smartphone
Source: Toptenreviews English Archive.org version
2017 is still young, but 2016’s trend of affordable, Huawei high-performance phones shows no sign of stopping, if the Huawei Honor 6X is any indication. The 32GB unlocked Honor 6X launches at $50 higher than last year’s Honor 5X but brings with it a host of improvements that are worth the extra coin, including smoother overall performance and a better camera with a unique secondary lens for bokeh. The UI layer is still heavy, but it’s free from the slowdown we experienced on the previous generation phone. That makes the Honor 6X an undoubtedly worthwhile improvement. But depending on your budget, the Moto G4 and ZTE Axon 7 are also worth checking out.

With a weight of 165g and dimensions of 150.46 x 75.68 x 7.50mm the Honor 6+ could well be a tight fit for those pockets designated for use to hold your smartphone. As part of the Huawei family of offerings, the Honor 6+ is a 5.5-inch smartphone. This is a dual SIM device. However this feature can come at a cost elsewhere but more on this facet a little later. The Honor 6+ is available in a choice of black, white or gold livery.

Huawei Honor 6 review: Virtue in disguise
Source: GSM Arena English Archive.org version
The Huawei Honor 6 makes a great first impression with a solid spec sheet, packed with all the right ingredients. While the exterior is hardly impressive, a well-performing midrange offering can get away with that. To be fair, the Honor 6 looks simple but by no means cheap. The smartphone mostly delivers on the initial promise. Huawei markets it as a 2-day device, and that's actually the conservative forecast. Our test revealed that with moderate use the 3-day mark is not far off. Especially noteworthy is the excellent 13-hour screen-on time when surfing the web or watching videos.

Huawei honor 6 is high end Smartphone that will provide high performance and good quality display but when it comes to the design it looks good but might not be very durable without a cover or case for the device.

With the Honor 6, Huawei has crafted one of the best mid-tier smartphones of recent times. For less than £300, you get a sharp Full HD screen that’s solid for movies, 4G support for streaming media, smooth performance and a pair of dependable cameras. The UI has some irritating quirks and the design leaves a lot to be desired, but at this price point the Honor 6 is a winner.
