HP unveils new ProBook 400 G3 laptops

The new laptops come in three screen sizes: 13, 14 and 15 inch. They share similar specs apart from display resolutions.

HP has just updated its ProBook 400 G3 series of business-oriented laptops with three new models, a 13-inch HP ProBook 430 G3, 14-inch ProBook 440 G3 as well as two 15-inch variants, a ProBook 450 G3 and 455 G3.

The smallest of the new laptops, the 430 G3 comes with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 Intel Skylake processors, up to 16 GB of RAM as well as a HDD or SSD drive. It also features an M.2 slot that allows installing an additional SSD drive. The 13,3-inch display with optional touch capability is only available with 1366x768 resolution.

HP ProBook 430 G3 boasts a spill-resistant, optionally backlit keyboard. Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, audio, Gigabit Ethernet, an SD card reader, as well as 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.

Both the 14-inch ProBook 440 G3 and both 15-inch variants (G3 450 and G3 455) share similar specs as the 430 G3, but come with different screen options. The 14-inch model is available with either 1366 x 768 or 1600 x 900 resolution, while the biggest of the trio can be ordered with either 1366 x 768 or 1920 x 1080 display.

As for the two variants of the 15-inch model, the ProBook 450 comes with Intel Skylake CPU's, while the ProBook 455 features an AMD A4, A8 or A10 processors.

All new laptops come with preinstalled Windows 10 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. Pricing and availability details have not been unveiled yet.
