Reviews for the HP Pavilion dv6707us

80% HP Pavilion dv6707us Budget Laptop PC
Source: Comp Reviews English
The HP Pavilion dv6707us is pretty much an example of what can be found in the budget market. Hardware wise it doesn't really set itself apart other than having a LightScribe drive for burning labels directly to compatible media. The real standout is the software package that provides apps for just about everything. Of course, it also has lots of apps that most people won't need.

NVIDIA GeForce 7150M: This is an integrated (shared memory) graphic card for laptops with AMD processors (socket S1), inserted upon nForce 630M. The difference to 7000M is that 7150M offers HD-video decoding for MPEG2, H.264 in 720p.

Only older games can be played fluently with these graphics chips (if they were not too demanding). Shared memory graphic cores in this category got the advantage of less heat production and longer battery runtimes. For office, internet, image processing, and video editing tasks these graphics chips are still useable without any restrictions.

14.1": 14 inch display size is a mixture between the small formats of subnotebooks and the 15 inch standard display. The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much energy and the laptops can be kept quite compact.

2.8 kg: This weight is average for notebooks. Therefore the numerous mass of laptops with 15 inch display fits in this class of weight.

HP reviews

80%: This rating is not convincing. It must be considered, that there exist hardly any laptops, which receive a rating below 60%. This notebook is evaluated below average, this is not really a recommendation for purchase.
