HP's 14-inch HP Pavilion dv2945se looks like it should cost more than $899, thanks to a cool subtle pattern on the keyboard tray and lid (the "se" in the name stand for special edition). We've seen the same upscale look recently in the very similar HP dv2700t Special Edition. For about $900, we'd be tempted to look elsewhere for an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, rather than the underperforming AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 found here.
The 14-inch HP Pavilion dv2700t Special Edition looks like a much more expensive laptop, but you can also find a more powerful 14-inch laptop with better battery life for less money.

NVIDIA GeForce 7150M: This is an integrated (shared memory) graphic card for laptops with AMD processors (socket S1), inserted upon nForce 630M. The difference to 7000M is that 7150M offers HD-video decoding for MPEG2, H.264 in 720p.
Only older games can be played fluently with these graphics chips (if they were not too demanding). Shared memory graphic cores in this category got the advantage of less heat production and longer battery runtimes. For office, internet, image processing, and video editing tasks these graphics chips are still useable without any restrictions.

AMD Turion 64 X2: AMD Turion 64 X2 is intended to be positioned against the Intel Core Duo was presented in 17. May 2006. The current consumption is not higher than with Centrino-Duo-notebooks (TL-45 with ATI Xpress and Mobility Radeon X300). This means, that approximative the same battery runtime and fan functions can be expected (with this chipset). However, the performance was 20% below the T2300 (1.66 GHz) due to the lower L2 Cache (Core Duo has 2048 Kbyte shared L2 Cache). Nevertheless, the performance is sufficient.

14.1": 14 inch display size is a mixture between the small formats of subnotebooks and the 15 inch standard display.
The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much current and the laptops can be kept quite compact.

2.4 kg: This notebook is lighter than the average of all notebooks. It is too heavy for sub-notebooks. 14 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.
HP: HP is one of the biggest international manufacturers according market shares and reviewed models at the German- and English-speaking market. HP notebooks are often in top positions according price/value ratings.
59%: Such a bad rating is rare. There exist hardly any notebooks, which are rated worse.
