Reviews for the HP 655 B6M65EA

76% Review HP 655 B6M65EA Notebook | Notebookcheck
Discount laptop. 300 Euros (~$386) is a ridiculously low price. Is this bargain-basement notebook an uninspiring slab of plastic with outdated technology? The inclusion of the brand new AMD APU at least refutes the latter statement. To find out if there's more to the HP 655, we conduct a thorough review.

AMD Radeon HD 7340: Integrated processor graphics card in the 2nd generation of Zacate APUs (e.g., E2-1800). Due to Turbo Core, the graphics card can clock from 523 to 680 MHz and is based on the same core as the Radeon HD 6320 (1. generation Zacate).

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

E2-1800: Dual Core low power processor with an integrated graphics cards. The processor is on a level with Celeron SU2300 (1.2 GHz) and the GPU part about as fast as an Nvidia ION (2).» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

15.6": 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks. 15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays. However nowadays, more and more 16:9 displays with 15.6 inch appear. The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much energy and the laptops can be kept quite compact.» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

2.31 kg: This notebook is lighter than the average of all notebooks. It is too heavy for sub-notebooks. 14 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.
