HP 630 budget notebook now available
HP has been announcing plenty of high-end laptops and other ultraportables lately, but the latest HP 630 is much more wallet-friendly and down-to-earth.
The 15.6-inch HP 630 is an upgrade from the HP 620, and comes with an Intel 2.13GHz dual-core Pentium P6200 CPU, 4G DDR3 RAM, 1366x768 resolution screen, Intel HD graphics, and a 320GB HDD. A DVD-RW SuperMulti drive is included, as well as a 6-cell battery, for a total weight of 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg). USB 3.0 ports are absent, but HP was generous enough to include an HDMI port, three USB 2.0 ports, and an SD/MMC card reader. Unfortunately, the laptop is not configurable prior to purchase, so the built-in set of specifications is the only option available for buyers.
The HP 630 is now available here for $439 with a standard 1-year warranty.
