CES 2023 | Gigabyte resurrects Aero 14 OLED after five-year hiatus alongside Aero 16 OLED now featuring Intel Raptor Lake-H and Nvidia RTX 40 series Laptop GPUs

The 2022 Gigabyte Aero 16 YE5 performed well in our testing, though it had some issues on the display front. At CES 2023, Gigabyte is refreshing the Aero 16 and also resurrecting the Aero 14 after five years. Both the Aero 14 OLED and Aero 16 OLED now offer Intel Raptor Lake-H options and Nvidia RTX 40 series Laptop GPUs.

The Aero 14 OLED is a lightweight (1.49 kg) design for mobile content creators and comes with a four-sided bezel-less 2.8K QHD+ 16:10 OLED display. Gigabyte said that the Aero 14's panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and is DisplayHDR 600 True Black-certified along with certifications for color calibration from X-rite and Pantone and low blue light emissions.

The Aero 14 OLED offers CPU choices between an Intel 13th gen Core i7-13700H and a 12th gen Core i5-12500H. Both SKUs also feature the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with Studio drivers for accelerating creative workflows. Other features include USB Type-C charging, Thunderbolt 4, DDR5 or LPDDR5 memory, PCIe Gen 4 storage, a UHS II microSD card reader, and a FHD IR webcam that supports Windows Hello logins.

The Aero 16 OLED gets a 16-inch 4K UHD+ OLED 16:10 screen that is both X-Rite-certified and Pantone-validated for Delta E deviations of less than 1 along with Eyesafe 2.0 protection standards. The Aero 16 OLED is just about 18 mm (0.7 inches) thick and sports an iridescent AERO logo on the display lid that reflects multi-colored light depending on the angle.

Internally, the Aero 16 OLED offers a choice of Intel Core i9-13900H and Core i7-13700H processors along with RTX 40 graphics options up to the RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with Studio drivers. The laptop also comes with Nvidia Omniverse preinstalled.
