All the new handsets are sub-$110 USD 3G smartphones with dual-SIM capabilities and low-end specs.

Although Gigabyte is a big name when talking about mainboard or video cards, they are still far from gaining a significant share of the smartphone market. Their four new handsets are all cheap 3G smartphones with dual-SIM capabilities and prices below $110 USD. These new smartphones can also be considered to be just two instead of four, with two different variants each - Classic and Classic Lite, as well as Essence and Essence 4.

These are the highlights of the new handsets mentioned above:

  • Gigabyte Classic - 5-inch 720p display, Spreadtrum quad-core SoC, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage, microSD support up to 32 GB, 5 MP and 8 MP cameras, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 2000 mAh
  • Gigabyte Classic Lite - 5-inch 854X480 pixels, Spreadtrum quad-core SoC, 512 MB RAM and 8 GB storage, microSD support up to 32 GB, 2 MP and 5 MP cameras, Android 4.4 KitKat, 2100 mAh
  • Gigabyte Essence - 4.5-inch 854X480 pixels, Spreadtrum quad-core SoC, 512 MB RAM and 8 GB storage, microSD support up to 32 GB, 2 MP and 5 MP cameras, Android 4.4 KitKat, 1600 mAh
  • Gigabyte Essence 4 - 4-inch 800X480 pixels, MediaTek dual-core SoC, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB storage, microSD support up to 32 GB, 0.3 MP and 2 MP cameras, Android 4.4 KitKat, 1300 mAh

As mentioned earlier, the prices of these smartphones match their features. Gigabyte asks $105 USD and $83 USD for the Classic and Classic Lite, while the Essence and Essence 4 are even cheaper, their price tags reading $77 USD and $61 USD. Unfortunately, there is no information about their availability yet.
