Garmin Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music leak with AMOLED displays and multi-band GNSS connectivity

The Garmin Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music have surfaced online again ahead of their release. To recap, the pair were last seen in June at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where they were certified for sale in the US. Subsequently, Garmin Vietnam briefly listed the Venu Sq 2, with the Venu Sq 2 Music emerging on retailer PlayBetter. While both listings have since been removed, Fitness Tracker Test managed to grab marketing images and details about the Venu Sq 2 series.

For context, only the Music version will support WiFi connectivity. Conversely, Garmin will limit the regular Venu Sq 2 to Bluetooth connections. In saying that, the pair will come with multi-band GNSS modules, 5 ATM water resistance and up to 11 days of battery life. Garmin has not created a Venu Sq 2 Solar either, so 11 days will be a best-case scenario for the Venu SQ 2 series.

Also, Fitness Tracker Test claims that Garmin has equipped both models with AMOLED displays, compared to the LCD ones it includes in the Venu Sq. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coverage remains, though. Allegedly, Garmin will offer the Venu Sq 2 series from US$249.99, with Fitness Tracker speculating an IFA 2022 unveiling for both models. For reference, IFA 2022 runs between September 2-6 and continues to take place in Berlin. Reputedly, Garmin will offer the Venu Sq 2 series in the following colour options:

• Slate / Shadow Grey (Venu Sq 2)
• Creme Gold / White (Venu Sq 2)
• Metallic Mint / Cool Mint (Venu Sq 2)
• Slate / Shadow Grey (Venu Sq 2 Music)
• Peach Gold / Ivory (Venu Sq 2 Music)
