Days after inadvertently leaking images of the Galaxy S4 Mini online, Samsung has come out and made the smartphone official. The smaller counterpart to the company's popular Galaxy S4 was unveiled in a press release today, and comes in at a "mini" 4.3".
Highlighted by a Super AMOLED display with a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, the Mini is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and Android Jelly Bean 2.2. The device also features 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear camera and a 1,900 mAh battery.
Much of the features found on the regular S4 are also available on the Mini, including Sound&Shot for images, S Translator for travel and Group Play for gaming. The Mini will be available with 4G LTE as well as in a dual-sim 3G flavor, but pricing and availability have been withheld till at least the Samsung Premiere 2013 next month.
