Fusion-powered Ideapad S205 now on sale

Teaser
Lenovo’s latest Brazos laptop can now be purchased starting at $499

Lenovo already has an 11.6” AMD Fusion netbook known as the X120e, and now the IdeaPad S205 adds some more Fusion power to the Lenovo collection. The netbook features a Zacate APU and is now available online for less than half a grand.

Lenovo is offering the IdeaPad in a couple different configurations; all powered by an AMD Zacate E-350 processor (1.60GHz). The E-350 comes with an onboard AMD Radeon 6310 and all versions of the S250 will be equipped with an 11.6” screen with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels, HDMI, a 6-cell battery and a 1.3MP Webcam. The base configuration of the S205 comes with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and a 320GB HDD but lacks Bluetooth capabilities. On the other hand, the netbook can be customized with an extra GB of RAM, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a 750GB HDD for a $100 more.

While a previous FCC listing for the IdeaPad S205 hinted towards Lenovo including a 4G data modem, that option is nowhere to be seen on the IdeaPad’s product page. The base configuration for the S205 starts at $499 while the upgrades bump it up to $599.
