FIC unveils the Tycoon tablet in Taiwan

First International Computer (FIC) which is a second-tier Taiwan-based PC and consumer electronics ODM, has come up with its brand new Tycoon tablet in Taiwan. The tablet which was launched on the 10^th of November 2010 by FIC supports Windows 7 Home Premium OS. It comes powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, features a 10-inch TFT-LCD multi-touch screen, has 2GB of DDR3 memory and also features a 120GB hard drive. It has Wi-Fi connectivity and weighs 840 grams.

Availability of the FIC Tycoon tablet will be provided by 3G wireless provider Vibo Telecom which is part of the First International Group in Taiwan. In addition FIC has other carriers like Taiwan Mobile and Far EasTone Telecommunications who would be testing the tablet. FIC expects to sell more than 1,000 Tycoons a month in the domestic market while for overseas markets; FIC expects to reach monthly ODM shipments of 50,000 Tycoons.
