Escobar Inc goes dark after its flurry of smartphone scams
Escobar Inc had a busy period between December 2019 and the summer of 2020, with the company 'releasing' three smartphones during that time. The company last revealed the ESCOBAR GOLD 11 PRO, which was nothing more than an iPhone 11 Pro with a gold skin applied.
However, a look at the Escobar Inc website would suggest that the company is yet to sell anything. There are mentions of devices that the company released in its 'History' page, but its Twitter account has been scrubbed of anything related to Escobar Inc-branded smartphones. By contrast, many of its bizarre marketing videos remain active on its official YouTube channel.
Instead, the company appears to have pivoted to filing lawsuits again, as it did against Netflix in 2017. In November 2020, Escobar Inc also announced that it had sued Klarna in the US for withholding funds to the tune of approximately of €400,000. Apparently, Klara did this because Escobar Inc failed to send products to customers, which should come as no surprise. This case appears to have gone nowhere, though. Hopefully, this means that Escobar Inc has moved on from scamming people with smartphones that it never dispatches.
