Remember the Ekoore Python S triple boot slate PC from last year? Well, it would appear that the Italian firm is now getting ready to introduce a whole new family of tablets, called Lucid. It consists of 7-, 9.7- and 10-inch devices running on an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. They will be available to customers in Europe sometime next month priced at €170, €240 and €220, respectively.

The flagship model is the Lucid 9.7 tablet, which features a Retina-like multi-touch display (10 points) of 2048-by-1536 pixels native resolution and an AllWinner A31 chip with four processing ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1GHz. The other two systems in the series are equipped with the same CPU and 1280-by-800 IPS touch panels.

Measuring 9.6mm thick, the slate reportedly comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage that can be further expanded by utilising the inbuilt microSD card reader slot. In addition, users are provided with two integrated cameras: a 5MP rear shooter and a 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth adapters, a microUSB port and an HDMI interface for hooking up the tablet to an HDTV.

According to Ekoore, the Lucid range also offers an octa-core graphics processor, built-in accelerometer and up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.
