Eee Pad Transformer coming to Best Buy this month

Those who were waiting in the US for the latest Asus Eee Pad Transformer – the wait is almost over. Liliputing reports that the tablet might meet Uncle Sam at Best Buy as soon as this month. Asus first made it available in Taiwan, and then in the UK.

Best Buy will put a price tag of only $399 for the tablet, and if you want the option keyboard (which I think is a good idea, as it makes it a full-fledged notebook), prepare to shell out another $149.

The tablet sports a 10.1” 1280 x 800 high resolution display panel, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor and Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb. The battery lasts for about 9.5hrs as the company claims, but there is an additional battery with the dock which can stress the total time up to an incredible 16hrs – enough to last almost half of your coast to coast train journey!
