DooGee F5 with Liquid Metal body coming soon

The DooGee F5’s most distinguishing feature will be its body, made of an alloy of zirconium, copper, aluminum, nickel and silver, for increased strength and flexibility.

The Chinese smartphone maker, DooGee is readying to release yet another new smartphone. The DooGee F5’s most distinguishing feature will be its liquid metal (liquid morphium) body. Liquid morphium is an alloy of zirconium, copper, aluminum, nickel and silver. Its atomic structure is more similar to that of glass than of aluminum or steel, but is much stronger than both the metals.

Specifications-wise, the DooGee F5 will come with a 5.5-inch, FullHD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It will be powered by an octa-core, 64-bit MediaTek’s MTK6753 SoC, clocked at 1.5 GHz with Mali-T760 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. There will be 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card allowing it to be expanded up to 32 GB.

The DooGee F5 will sport  a 13 MP rear camera, as well as a 5 MP selfie snapper. It will come with dual-SIM capability. Connectivity options will include: 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port. There will also be also a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device. Battery capacity will be 3000 mAh.

The new handset, running Android 5.1 Lollipop, will begin shipping in September at $150.
