Dell unveils the Inspiron 7000 Series
Earlier today, Dell announced the imminent release of its "thinnest Inspiron laptops yet," namely the Dell Inspiron 700 Series notebooks. This large family of laptops now features i5 and i7 Intel Core 4th generation processors, Windows 8.1 and elegant, very thin aluminum bodies.
According to the information uncovered in Dell's press release, the new Inspiron 7000 laptops are capable to provide a battery life of over 8 hours, depending on usage. Different configurations are available, with the base specs and options being the following:
- 4th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors
- Optional NVIDIA discrete graphics
- 14-, 15.6-, and 17.3-inch display
- Backlit keyboard
- Waves MaxxAudio® Pro
- Windows 8.1
In addition to the Inspiron 7000 Series, Dell will also release the Inspiron 11 3000 laptop, available in two variants. One of these variants will include an AMD processor, while the other will use the Intel Core i3 or Core i5 CPUs.
The prices are $699 for the Inspiron 15 and $849 for the Inspiron 14 and Inspiron 17. The Inspiron 7000 series will go on sale on September 26, while the Inspiron 11 3000 will arrive on October 3, at prices that start at $379.
