Dell Precision M4600 and M6600 specs detailed

Teaser
Dell’s new Workstation notebooks will feature up to a Quad Core Extreme i7 processor along with discrete graphics

Back in February, Dell had a massive launch event in which the company announced over 25 different products. Unfortunately, a good number of those products have yet to surface, including the M4600 and M6600 notebooks. However, it looks like Dell’s new Workstation notebooks could appear soon, as an online user manual has served up a whole bunch of goodies.

According to the manual, the 15.6” M4600 and 17.3” M6600 will be customizable with processors running the gamut from an Intel Core i5 and i7 (dual-core) all the way to an i7 Quad Extreme processor. Dell has also attached some discrete graphics to the notebooks in order to take care of any 3D acceleration thrown their way. The lower-end M4600 will have either an AMD FirePro M5950, an NVIDIA Quadro 1000M or an NVIDIA Quadro 2000M. On the other hand, the M6600 looks like it’ll be customizable with either an AMD FirePro M8900 or an NVIDIA Quadro 3000M, 4000M or 5010M GPU. Both notebooks will have up to 32GB of RAM and up to a 9-cell battery.

Although the PDFs provide a nice overview for the new Dell Workstation notebooks, we’re still wondering when we’ll be able to get our hands on the pair. The high end business specs are sure to generate a lofty price tag, but until we hear something from Dell, there’s no way to tell.
