Deal | Dell G5 15 on sale for $880 USD with 10th gen Core i7, 144 Hz IPS display, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics, 16 GB RAM, and Thunderbolt 3
Dell is currently knocking off hundreds of dollars on its 15.6-inch G5 15 gaming laptop likely to make room for the impending G15 revision. The deal is notable for its 144 Hz refresh rate display and 16 GB of RAM whereas most other gaming laptops for under $900 USD typically come with half the RAM, slower graphics, or a 60 Hz panel only. The system even comes with Thunderbolt 3 which is a rarity for a gaming laptop in this price range.
Based on our time with a review unit from Dell, users may have mixed feelings about the thick plastic design and somewhat heavy chassis. After all, the G5 is home to Dell's budget gaming models in comparison to the upper mid-range G7 series or flagship Alienware series. Luckily, the bottom panel is easily removable for quick RAM and storage upgrades as needed.
