Invites to a special Samsung event that takes place in Barcelona one day before MWC 2015 opens its gates for the public reveal a curved device - most likely a new Galaxy S flagship.

The next-gen Samsung Galaxy S flagship has been in the rumor mill for a while and recent reports published by the South Korean press mentioned March 2 as its release date. Even if that proves to be a fake alarm, Samsung must bring something big at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

According to SamMobile, the South Korean company has started to send out press invites to a new Samsung Unpacked event that is scheduled for March 1. The invite simply reads "What's Next" and its design leaves no room for misunderstandings - a curved device is on its way. The location - Barcelona - is also mentioned next to the date.

SamMobile expects a device with a 5.1-5.3-inch display and an Exynos 7420 SoC and maybe even a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 version, no less than 4 GB of memory, 20 MP camera, as well as fingerprint sensor. Remains to see if the design is inspired by the Note Edge or it is something completely new. Just keep in mind that none of these specs has been officially confirmed yet, but we will find out all about this new Samsung device in less than a month.
