Cube launches the U39GT 9-inch tablet

Teaser
The new tablet is a very inexpensive model that offers full HD resolution and a quad-core processor

Cube have a fairly wide array of tablets for sale around the world ranging from the 7.9-inch Talk 79 that doubles as an oversized phone, to the 10.1-inch U30GT 1 with a magnesium alloy frame. With its newest device, the Chinese company has taken a different approach and has produced a device with a unusual display size.

The U39GT features a 9-inch 1920 x 1280 10 point capacitive PLS touchscreen, a quad-core 1.8 GHz RK3188 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, a 2 MP front-facing camera, a 5 MP back-facing camera, and a 5200 mAh battery. For connectivity it offers 802.11n wifi, Bluetooth, Miracast, an HDMI port, and a microSD slot.

Though many low cost devices from the Chinese market often suffer from low build quality, this new tablet seems to be more solid and has an all aluminum back. It is also both relatively thin and light at 8.9 mm thick (0.35 inches) and 480 grams (1.06 pounds).

The U39GT features prominently on Cube's Chinese website but is totally absent from the English site which means it isn't likely to be released in other countries anytime soon (if ever). But for those who absolutely want one, online retailers have the device listed for delivery worldwide starting at US$185.
