Cube: New e-bike comes with mid-motor, large color display and three brakes

The Cube Supreme RT Hybrid Comfort Exc 625 is yet another electric, step-through bike designed especially for city riding. To this end, it is fitted with Conti Contact Urban tires, which aim to deliver comfortable ascent and descent, and are advertised as having strong puncture protection. A must for big city riders where glass splinters and shards are all too common.

The motor is a third-generation Bosch Performance Line mid-drive motor, compatible with Bosch's smart system and rated to deliver up to 75 Nm of torque. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is integrated into the frame, but can also be removed, making it possible to bring it inside the apartment for charging. Also on board is a Kiox 500 color display, which is said to be protected against water and dust and is 40% larger than that of the Kiox 300.

A Shimano Nexus SL hub gear with five gears is installed. The 28.5-kilogram bike supports deceleration via backpedal braking, but there are also Shimano hydraulic disc brakes on the front and rear. A suspension fork with 50 millimeters of travel and a suspension seat are also included, as are mudguards, a semi-integrated luggage carrier and a kickstand.

The Cube Supreme RT Hybrid Comfort Exc 625 currently has a price tag of £2899/€3,150.
