Chuwi's affordable Hi9 Gamer tablet now available
Chuwi has managed to impress the Western market with very affordable devices that most of the times are almost as good as their expensive equivalents from established companies. Last week, the Chinese company presented at CES 2018 its latest Hi9 Air tablet with mid-range specs and a supposedly competitive price. Meanwhile Chuwi has released the Hi9 Gamer with top gaming features for a special price.
Although Chuwi is primarily known for its Windows tablets, the Hi9 tablets are running Android 7.0 out of the box, but the 8.0 update should be coming this quarter. The Gamer variant of the Hi9 tablet features an 8.4-inch JDI display with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 2.5D glass edges, while its power is provided by the respectable PowerVR GX6250 GPU in tandem with the MediaTek MTK8173 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.9 GHz. Complementing the processors are 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage along with a MicroSD slot.
Other specs include:
• Camera setup: front – 2 MP / rear – 5 MP
• WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2
• stereo speakers
• micro USB port, headpgone jack, TF card slot
• 4500 mAh battery
The Hi9 Gamer tablet is available online at Banggood.com, discounted to US$179.99. This offer will be available until January 21.
