Chromebooks arrive in six new countries
Starting today Google will be rolling out Chromebooks in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands. The Samsung Chromebook and Acer C7 Chromebook will be available in all six countries, while Canada will also be seeing the HP Pavilion Chromebook. According to the company availability will follow in more countries 'in the months to come'. Meanwhile in the U.S. Google will be teaming up with over 1,000 Best Buy stores effectively doubling the amount of Chromebook points of sale.
Google is quite proud of the fact that the Samsung Chromebook has spent 149 days on the top spot of Amazon’s bestselling notebook list. Meanwhile in the UK one of the country’s largest consumer electronics retailers is claiming Chromebooks account for more than 10% of all its notebook sales.
