Accessory maker Dexim previewed its version of an iPad 2 case. This unveiling took place at the CES at an event on Tuesday i.e. the 4th of January 2011. The design of the Bluetooth keyboard hybrid is in confirmation with the extensively rumoured design traits. The case includes cut outs on the back for a camera and a larger speaker. In addition it is also noticed that the design of the case is sleeker, petite and more tapered at the rear when compared to an iPad. All said and done, it is believed that what actually comes through during production may feature a changed design and may not necessarily bear resemblance to Apple’s design, but the company according to normal practise has to finalise on a final hardware design months in advance for production.
Dexim on the basis of insider information conceived a mockup to showcase the design which included a lower home button. The source of the information was however not revealed by the Company. Foxconn factories is said to be leaking specifications and other details like measurements to second-generation iPad cases manufacturers. However, when contacted, representatives from Foxconn have so far denied any official knowledge of any such case leaks.
