Australian court extends Apple ban on Samsung till Dec 9th

Teaser
The patent war in Australia extended once more and this time the ban over Samsung’s tab is extended to December 9th

Recently we had news that Samsung’s ban on the sale of its tabs was lifted in Australia by Sydney Court. However it was only till this Friday, but as Apple immediately responded to the hearing the sales ban is extended till December 9.

The high court of Australia this time has granted the stay orders till 9th to allow it to consider whether to accept Apple’s application for special leave to appeal, as told by Samsung spokesman. With all this Samsung opposes the appeal application which means the war is again going to get extended.

Although Apple did not comment anything regarding the latest developments in the court but one thing is for sure that Apple is not taking any chance in allowing the Samsung tablet to land for the Australian Markets.

Besides this, Apple is also trying to stop even the sales of the modified version of the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 that Samsung released in Germany in order to dodge the earlier injunction.

As the holiday season has already started Samsung is trying very hard to bring their Galaxy tab to the market. However if they really want to do so they really need to hurry as the days of the holiday season is counting down.
