Asus to launch Eee PC 1025C and 1025CE netbooks

Italian website eeepc.it have leaked a pair of Asus netbooks for a possible Christmas launch.

The source cites a page off of the Asus Tech In Style magazine where an ad clearly shows off the Asus netbooks in question. Called the Eee PC 1025C and 1025CE, the netbooks will carry the new “Cedar Trail” Atom CPUs. Other specs include a 10.1-inch 1024x600 resolution screen, up to 500GB HDD, 1 to 2GB RAM, WiFi, optional USB 3.0, optional Bluetooth 3.0 and even an optional Blu-Ray drive. Battery life is listed at up to 12 hours from the 6-cell battery.

The netbooks will also be available in a wide spectrum of colors, up to 8 and 3 for the 1025C and 1025CE, respectively. The latter netbook will supposedly be the higher-end model, likely with more powerful N2800 core and connectivity options.

The ad doesn’t reveal pricing or availability details, but the style suggests a launch in time for the holidays. The two notebooks were originally spotted at the FCC early October with suggested starting prices of $249 for the 1025C and $279 for the 1025CE.
