Asus throws in face unlock with latest Transformer update
Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablets will undergo a minor software update in the US and Canada. It underwent the last major change when Android 4.0 was introduced replacing Android 3.2.
One of the major update is the improvement of the stability along with some interesting features like Face Unlock, that is, it allows unlocking your device by gazing at the front facing camera.
We can also lock the system bar while we are playing games in our tablet. Other than this, new options will be available in the email app as well as stability improvements in few apps and overall stability enhancements can be expected.
The new software version for the Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is 9.2.1.24. If rumors are to be believed than the updating has already started on May 16th.
The tablets have an Android (Honeycomb [3. x]), weighs 1.5lbs (about .68kg) and has a screen size of 10.1 inches. The dimension of the tablet is 10.67x6.96x0.51 inch. It will also have an internal storage of 16GB memory and battery back up to 9.5 hours.
