Asus rolls out gaming laptops, the Asus G73SW-A1 and a 3D version called the Asus G73SW-3DE
Computer gaming aficionados have something to watch out for. It is the brand new gaming notebook by Asus called the Asus G73SW-A1, which is available for purchase at Excaliber PC. Also the Company plans to roll out the 3D version of the Asus G73SW-A1, called the G73SW-3DE, which is up for pre-order.
The Asus G73SW-A1 and G73SW-A1 are power packed with the Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU. They feature a full HD screen with LED backlight. Memory options include the presence of 8GB of RAM, dual 500GB hybrid HDD/SSD drives for 1TB of storage. Also there is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M 1.5GB video card and Blu-ray combo drive. OS support is provided by Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The laptops allow for “one-click” overclocking functionality.In addition the externalities of the Asus G73SW-A1 and G73SW-A1 are impressive, due to the presence of F117 stealth bomber-inspired design with a rubberized matte finish.
Other specifications include the presence of an 8 celled battery, built-in stereo speakers and a subwoofer, TNX TruStudio audio technology, backlight keyboard. The laptops weigh 8 pounds and also come with an inbuilt 2MP webcam along with a mic. Connectivity is ensured by the presence of options like 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Gigabit LAN. Also the machines provide for support to three USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port, HDMI and VGA outputs, and an 8-in-1 media card reader. Both the machines are available with a mouse to aid gaming along with a backpack.
The 3D version, i.e. the G73SW-3DE comes with 3D Vision glasses and features a 20Hz 3D-capable screen.
The Asus G73SW-A1 is pegged at a price of $1,849. While for its 3D counterpart, i.e. the G73SW-3DE, be prepared to shell out a little extra, the price being pegged at $1,939.
