Asus reveals Eee PC Flare lineup of netbooks

Teaser
The previously revealed 1225B, 1025C and 1025CE Eee PC netbooks may be having a name overhaul

CES may be right around the corner, but companies are already announcing their newest products ahead of schedule.

According to Netbook Italia, Asus will be formally revealing its Eee PC 1200 series this month as the renamed Eee PC Flare series. The family will supposedly launch with three different models, the 12-inch 1225B and 10-inch 1025C and 1025CE. Style and build may be new emphasis on these netbooks as the units will sport redesigned hinges and Chiclet keyboards. The 10-inch models may also have Fusion and Cedar Trail processor options as well.

Other details are still unknown, but hopefully a price and release date will be set in stone by the time CES comes around. After Dell pulled out of the netbook market with its Mini netbook line, it’s definitely a relief that at least one company is still sticking to the inexpensive  subcompact notebook arena.
