Asus outs the Asus UX21 and UX31 in France

Asus launches their Ultrabook models UX21 and UX31 in France, though the price exceeds the $1000 mark

Though Intel tried to keep the price of their Ultrabooks at a range below $1000 but it seems that was really a tough decision for the manufacturers as the production cost was too high. And now we can see that Asus releasing the Ultrabook Models UX21 and UX 31 in France with a price higher than, what Intel suggested (the UX21 is just above the mark).

The two models that are launched feature ultra-slim and lightweight chassis, a sleek aluminium finish, and extra-durable hinges.

ASUS UX21

This model is equipped with an 11.6inch LED backlight display which provides a resolution of 1366 x 768pixels. It offers a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5-2467M processor along with an Intel GMA 3000 HD graphics. A 4GB DDR3 RAM is provided along with a 64GB SSD.

And some of the important interfaces provided for connecting the device with another device are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, a USB 3.0 port and also a mini HDMI port. This model runs on a 6 cell battery. The price tag set for this particular model is 799 ($1076) in France.

ASUS UX31

This model provides a little bit larger screen of 13.3 inches which is capable of providing a resolution up to 1600 x 900pixels. There are two variants under this model - one with 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-2557M Processor and a 128GB SSD for storage while the second is powered by a 1.8GHz Intel i7-2677M Processor and also has a 256GB SSD. Both these models are priced at 999 ($1345) and 1199 ($1614) respectively for the customers of France.
