Asus in the making of a tough Honeycomb tablet

Asus released their Tough tab in Japan

The delicate Electronics devices are always vulnerable to rough handling, but sometimes we may get careless and our device may have to suffer the consequence. Well if a delicate device comes in a more tough body than most among us can be relived from the extra care, that need to taken for the safety of the devices regarding external injuries to the device.

Asus has brought up a new model of tablet, the Asus Tough ETBW11AA, a 7inch tab which is said to be waterproof, dustproof, and is built with a case capable of withstanding a drop from over 3 feet.

This model has a 7inch display with 1280 x 800pixels of resolutions. It is powered by Android Honeycomb OS and NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor. The internal storage provided with this model is 16GB. Some other features include a 5MP camera, GPS, micro SD slot, and mini USB port.

Though the tough built in case makes it a bit bulky then the regular 7inch tab and it weighs around 620gm (1.36pounds).

Till now this model is currently released only in Japan for KDDI. Though there has not been any confirmation regarding dates for the release of the device in US, but they are expected to be released soon by Sprint.  According to a report by Droid Guy they will also support EVDO Rev.A and WiMax.
