Reviews for the Asus K751LX-TY077H

ASUS K751LX review – extraordinary gaming performance for its price
Source: Laptop Media English Archive.org version
The ASUS K751LX serves as a great alternative to the K550JX if you are looking for a bigger screen and more balanced hardware. However, it seems that the machine is too balanced for its own good. From the gaming tests above you can easily see that the CPU comes as a bottleneck when it comes to gaming. This results in slightly lower FPS. Anyway, we are happy with the presented hardware at this price range, with an extraordinarily powerful GPU. It’s not every day that you see a notebook that costs around €600 and offers GTX 950M discrete graphics. It’s also capable of supporting the hardware running in extreme conditions without generating any unnecessary heat, so we are giving an A+ to the cooling system.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M: Mid-range graphics card of the GeForce GTX 900M series, based on the Maxwell architecture.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

17.30": This display size is a standard format for desktop replacements (DTR). The DTR laptops are heavier to carry, need more power, but texts are easy to read and high resolutions are no problem. DTR are mainly intended for stationary desk use, where weight and energy hunger don't matter. In return, you enjoy the advantages of high resolutions (more details, better legibility).» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

2.8 kg:

With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
