The Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip has been announced with a 16-inch WUXGA OLED touchscreen, Alder Lake-P (vPro, vPro Essential and non-vPro variants included) processors, up to 40 GB of RAM and a 50 Wh battery. Information about its price and availability will be revealed soon.

The Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip announced at IFA 2022 packs some serious firepower. It is, however, quite bulky and not suitable to be lugged around. Those looking for a more portable workhorse will find the Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip to their liking. Although it compromises on the specs a little, it weighs 1.65 kilograms (3.3 lbs), making it ideal for people on the go. Asus will reveal the notebook's price and availability details soon.

The Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip checks all the boxes for a modern-day workstation laptop. It features a 16-inch WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) 16:10 screen. It is available in IPS LCD (300 nits peak brightness) and OLED (400 nits peak brightness) flavours. The latter covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Asus also throws in a stylus in the retail box, allowing users to take advantage of its touchscreen functionality.

The I/O on the Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip includes two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, an RJ45 jack, one HDMI 2.0b port, one micro SD card slot and a dedicated silo for the stylus. Wireless connectivity options depend on the variant and include Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The laptop is powered by a 50 Wh battery and features a 720p webcam with an IR sensor and a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Processor options on the Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip are all over the place. They include an Intel Core i5-1240p (non-vPro/vPro Essential), Intel Core i7-1260p (non-vPro/vPro Essential), Intel Core i5-1250p vPro and an Core i7-1270p vPro. One can pair it with an Intel Arc A350M dGPU or stick with the integrated Alder Lake Intel Iris Xe/UHD graphics. The laptop has one 8 GB 4,800 MT/s memory module soldered to the motherboard. One can upgrade the other one with up to a 32 GB module for a total of 40 GB of memory. Thankfully, both the M.2 slots are user upgradable and support up to 2 TB of storage.
