Bottom point, the Asus EEE PC 1225B is for sure a great mini laptop and comes with a handful of improvements over its predecessor. There are still issues, mainly that glossy screen with poor viewing angles, but hey, no device is perfect. It’s not a laptop meant for everyone, as it’s mainly a device you can easily carry around, while being more powerful than an average 10 inch netbook. So it should be good for school, for journalists in the field, for those who travel a lot and need to have work done (otherwise they could get a tablet). On the other hand, this is not the perfect device for desk-life, as the screen is small and the overall platform is not that fast. It does a great job though at being versatile while portable, and those are its greatest assets.

The 1225C is a basically a bigger netbook. But, when pushing an HD display and Windows 7 Home Premium on the same hardware you get on 10 inch machines, you have to expect a poorer everyday experience, especially when dealing with low-power hardware. And that’s the case here as well. Having tested the 1025CE and the 1225C within days of each other, I found the latter more sluggish at everyday tasks, but also when dealing with multimedia content. Might be an issue with my test unit, but I personally doubt it.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is a major Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer based in Taipei, founded in 1989. Under the Asus brand name, the company manufactures a wide range of products, including laptops, desktops, motherboards, graphics cards, monitors, smartphones and networking equipment, complete systems and PC components for end users.
Under the ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand name, ASUS manufactures gaming laptops known by gamers for their powerful specifications, dedicated graphics cards, high refresh rate displays and advanced cooling systems.
Beyond gaming, a wide range of notebooks are offered for different needs and budgets, from ultra-slim and lightweight ultrabooks to versatile 2-in-1 convertibles and budget-friendly options. In 2023, Asus had a 7% global market share of the PC market.
Customer satisfaction with ASUS notebooks concerns performance, the features, and the good price-performance ratio of ASUS notebooks. However, as with any brand, there are occasional reports of problems such as overheating, driver compatibility, or build quality issues.
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
AMD Radeon HD 6320:
Integrated graphics card in the Zacate netbook processors (e.g. E-450) featuring an UVD3 video decoder and no dedicated memory. Thanks to TurboCore, it can automatically overclock to 600 MHz.
These graphics cards are not suited for Windows 3D games. Office and Internet surfing however is possible.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3650: Integrated processor graphics card (e.g. in the Atom N2800) without dedicated memory. Most likely based on a PowerVR design similar to the GMA 500 but with higher clock rates.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3600:
Integrated processor graphics card (e.g. in the Atom N2600) without dedicated memory. Most likely based on a PowerVR design similar to the GMA 500 but with higher clock rates.

AMD E-Series:
E-450:
Dual Core low power processor with an integrated graphics cards. The processor is on a level with Celeron SU2300 (1.2 GHz) and the GPU part about as fast as an Nvidia ION (2).
Intel Atom: The Intel Atom series is a 64-Bit (not every model supports 64bit) microprocessor for cheap and small notebooks (so called netbooks), MIDs, or UMPCs. The speciality of the new architecture is the "in order" execution (instead of the usual and faster "out of order" execution). Therefore, the transistor count of the Atom series is much lower and, thus, cheaper to produce. Furthermore, the power consumption is very low. The performance per Megahertz is therfore worse than the old Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz on par with a 1.6 GHz Atom).
N2800:
Dual core Atom CPU with an integrated SGX545 PowerVR graphics card and a video decoder.
N2600: Dual core Atom CPU with an integrated SGX545 PowerVR graphics card and a video decoder.
