Nevertheless, the Asus C201 Chromebook has carved out its own niche, and it all comes back to battery life and portability. Its screen isn’t perfect, nor is it the world’s most luxurious laptop, but if you want something that you can sling into a bag for a weekend, and not have to worry about chargers, it’s an excellent choice.

Outside of its disappointing screen the Chromebook C201 is a competent laptop that will meet most buyers productivity and web browsing needs. However, thanks to Chrome OS’ cloud-based nature, there’s little here for gamers, or people outside of Google’s ecosystem without a regular internet connection.

Model: The Asus C201PA-DS01 Chromebook is a computer which brings a new experience as it does not rely on Microsoft Windows. It comes with a glossy 11.6 inch 16:9 HD display, a Rockchip RK3288C quad core processor clocked at 1.8 Ghz and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. For mobile gaming, this Chromebook features a Mali-T764 graphic chip. In order to enhance the internet browsing experience, the device is equipped with 802.11ac WiFi adapter, which is 3 times faster than the previous generation wireless adapter. For communication, the Asus C201PA-DS01 Chromebook delivers built-in speakers and a digital microphone.
Asus states an estimated battery life of 13 hours with the lithium ion polymer battery with 2 cells. This Chromebook comes with 1 year domestic warranty. As it is 0.7 inch (1.78 cm) thin and weighs only 905 g, user can easily carry it around. Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 are available for data transfer. In order to supplement the internal 16 GB Solid State Drive, users can store data on a microSD cards. The microSD slot supports up to 128 GB. A micro-HDMI port allows connecting external displays. A Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is available for protecting sensitive data.

This is a standard display format for tablet computers or small convertibles. You see more on the screen than on a smartphone but you can't use big resolutions well. On the other hand, mobility is not a problem.
