Reviews for the Asus A555LF
Source: NDTV Gadgets Archive.org version
The A555LF has a few shortcomings such as the low-resolution screen and the plastic build, which is a little flimsy in some areas. We also wished Asus had used a slightly bigger battery and thrown in an HD webcam. On the plus side, the laptop has good aesthetics, a comfortable keyboard, decent casual gaming performance, and a very good set of speakers. This makes it a good mainstream option for those unwilling to breach the Rs 50,000 price barrier.

Model: The Asus A555LF is a perfect on-the-go companion with capabilities and a solid build quality. There are 4 colors to choose from; red, black, blue, and white. Design is kept simple with each lid sporting different finishes from circular texturing to line texturing depending on the selected color. There is a black Chiclet keyboard surrounded by the silver interior. The Windows 10 system comes with a 15.6 inch 16:9 HD display, which works well in bright surroundings.
On-board are an Intel Core i5-5200U processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GT930M GPU with 2 GB of DDR3 VRAM and a 1 TB HDD. Audio quality is impressive despite slender chassis with high quality stereo speakers boosted by SonicMaster technology. Other features found on the Asus A555LF are Bluetooth 4.0, a super-multi DVD drive, a VGA webcam, a VGA/mini Display port, 2 USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI out and card reader. Overall, the laptop weighs in at 2.3 kg and comes equipped with a 4-cell Polymer battery, which ensures an adequate battery life.
NVIDIA GeForce 930M: Maxwell based lower mid-range graphics card. The card is based on the GeForce 840M with 384 shaders but reduced core clock speed.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

15.60":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

70%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
