IFA 2013 | Archos to unveil new Android tablets at IFA
Later this week in Berlin, Archos will reveal a few brand new Android tablets in an attempt to cover the entire market, from low-end devices tailored specially for children to Apple iPad competitors sporting quad-core processors and aluminum bodies.
This is the line of Android tablets that Archos is going to show off at IFA 2013:
- The Platinum range: powered by quad-core ARM processors, these are premium tablets with aluminum bodies and displays with resolutions up to 2,048X1,536 pixels.
- The Archos 101xs2: this premium tablet also features a quad-core processor, but is the only one to have a magnetic keyboard. It comes with two front facing speakers as well.
- The Xenon range: three tablets with quad-core processors, HD screens, 3G/3G+ broadband connectivity, probably sporting 7/8.7/10.1-inch screens. These are mid-range devices positioned as "cheaper than Apple or Samsung Wi-Fi tablets".
- Two ChildPad tablets featuring a filtered PlayStore, vivid colors cases and 8/10.1-inch screens.
All the tablets above will use Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will be joined at IFA 2013 by the GamePad 2 and the Archos 50 Oxygen handset. More details about all these new gadgets from Archos will be available later this week.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
