Apple to launch a new iPad Pro next month

12.2-inch Apple iPad Pro to get a 9.7-inch sibling in March 2016

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro currently on the market will get a 9.7-inch sibling on March 21st, while iPad Air 3 will show up at a later date.

Although many rumors claimed that Apple would release the iPad Air 3 on March 15, it looks like they were wrong. According to the latest rumors about Apple's plans for next month, the Cupertino-based company plans to launch a smaller iPad Pro, as well as a 4-inch iPhone and multiple Apple Watch band options. All these should be unveiled during a special event that will take place on the 21st, not on the 15th.

Rumors claim the new iPad Pro will have a 9.7-inch display and will use the same A9X processor as its larger sibling, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro currently on the market. The device is expected to feature the Smart Connector as well while a new Smart Keyboard to fit its size should also show up at the event. Next to it, the 4-inch iPhone SE is expected as well. This handset will feature the same specs as the iPhone 6S, but without 3D Touch.

Considering Apple's recent legal battle with the FBI, this delay does not seem like a surprise. Since invites to Apple's events usually leak online soon after they send them out, we will probably get back to this topic once that happens.
