The company claims adoption rate of its latest mobile operating system is the fastest ever.

Apple released a press release on Monday regarding the upcoming release date of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, and also gave some insight to how the public is receiving the iOS 9 update since it released on September 12th for download. According to Phil Schiller of Apple, "iOS 9 is also off to an amazing start, on pace to be downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple’s history.”

Most of iOS 9's changes are under the hood, giving devices better battery life and a low power mode, but there are also many changes that can easily be seen like a back button inside applications as well as improvements to Siri. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will release on September 25th at 8:00 AM local time, and all of the newly released smartphones will also come preloaded with iOS 9, further increasing the number of authorized devices with the mobile operating system.

One well-known advantage of having an Apple device is the ability for a majority of users to upgrade to the latest operating system as soon as it releases, and this alone is a great benefit. It ensures that most customers are able to run the very latest software, and it is definitely something Google has been trying to catch up on lately.
