Apple iOS 4.2 is now out of beta mode

Teaser
The iOS 4.2 has moved to the Gold Master (GM) stage and will shortly be available to the public

The iOS 4.2 is Apple’s attempt at making its mobile device OS capable of a much in-demand feature-multitasking. And so, this version of Apple’s proprietary OS is highly awaited by people using devices as the iPad. As we have reported earlier, the iOS 4.2 has been under development for quite some time now and if reports are to be believed the OS is finally done with beta testing.

The iOS 4.2 has moved on to now, what is called the Gold Master (GM) stage and so can be soon expected to be made available to the public soon. In addition to multitasking, the biggest relief to iPad users with the iOS 4.2’s arrival would be the fix for the WiFi connectivity problem. Also new in this version of the iOS would be fast access controls to adjust brightness and volume, plus, AirPlay controls have been embedded in the multitasking bar.

As of now, people who have previously registered with the iOS Developer Program can now have a hand at the iOS 4.2’s GM version. By the look of things, it seems Apple is surely going to keep its word of making the iOS available to iPad users any time this month.
