Apple event set for September 9th
Apple has begun sending out invitations for the latest event regarding new products, and as it turns out the speculation was correct; the event will be held on September 9th. Many expect a new iPhone to make its debut at the announcement, and there have also been many rumors stating an iPad Pro and new Apple TV could be on the way as well.
The invitation had the words "Hey Siri, give us a hint." on it, and the date of September 9th as well. Asking Siri to give a hint will prompt a few different answers, with one of them revealing that there is a big announcement on the 9th. Unfortunately, Apple never gets into specifics until the day of the actual event, but given that the same date last year was when the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were released, it is a pretty safe assumption that smartphones will be the main focus of the announcement.
Along with the iPhone and other heavily rumored products, Apple will likely talk a bit more about the upcoming versions of iOS, Mac OS X, and WatchOS. With competition as fierce as ever, Apple really needs to deliver during this conference to continue seeing demand for its phones.
