Apple calls for a press event on March 7th, iPad 3?

For quite a long time we were surrounded by the rumors about the latest iPad or the iPad 3. But there has been no word from them till now. The Cupertino California based company Apple on Tuesday has invited reporters to a media event on March 7, which is expected to be the official release of the latest iPad tablet in San Francisco.

In the invitation email they have featured an image of a corner of a device which is expected to be the new tablet. The tag line in the image also says that they have something that you really have to see and touch.

The venue for the event is decided to be the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, which has been a favorite stage for Apple for unveiling new products. However an Apple’s spokeswoman declined to comment anything about the event.

It is expected that the latest iPad to be revealed is about the same size as the earlier versions. But this version is expected to have a sharper resolution screen than the second generation iPads and will also have support for wireless carriers’ fourth generation LTE networks.

This new model from Apple is also expected to be sold by wireless carriers including AT&T and Verizon Wireless, as reported by some persons familiar with this issue. With the release of this model Apple is also expected to put a number of reasons to differentiate among their tablet and other Google’s Android devices.
